Bhagavad Gita - The Song Of God
Lord Shree Krishna revealed the Bhagavad Gita, to Arjun on the eve of the Mahabharata’s epic battle. On the battlefield of Kurukshetra, a decisive war between two sets of cousins, the Kauravas and the Pandavas, was about to begin. Under Introduction-The Setting of the Bhagavad Gita, a thorough account of the factors that led to such a massive conflict is given.
Lord Shree Krishna and Arjun are the main characters in the Bhagavad Gita. The first chapter, on the other hand, begins with a conversation between King Dhritarashtra and his minister Sanjay. Dhritarashtra, who was blind, was unable to leave his palace in Hastinapur, but he was curious about the battle’s progress. Sanjay was a student of Sage Ved Vyas, the author of the Mahabharata epic and other Hindu scriptures. Sage Ved Vyas possessed a mystic power to see and hear events taking place in other parts of the world. Sanjay had been given the miraculous ability to see far away.
As a result, Sanjay was able to see and hear what happened on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, and he was able to give King Ashok a firsthand account.
